Back to GC!!

Hey guys!

Where do I begin?! My Winter break was fantastic, but I am very happy to be back at GC! On Sunday, the girls who rushed had Chapel Day, which is a very exciting time for them. GC Greeks have a special place in their heart for this campus tradition. Each January, sororities and fraternities anxiously await the arrival of their new members in two separate events, Chapel Day and Men's Bid Day. Chapel Day is a sorority event: pledges dress in their new sorority’s colors and run through the doors of the Chapel into the waiting arms of their sisters. An exciting moment in itself, active members of the sororities are unaware of which girls accepted their bids until they fly through the Chapel doors. Needless to say, this makes Chapel Day exciting for pledges and active members alike! While the ladies greet their new sisters, many of the men on campus gather around to watch the festivities, sporting the colors of their favorite sororities. The fraternities’ version of Chapel Day occurs the next week, is referred to as Men’s Bid Day, operates in a similar fashion and is held at Cooke Memorial. Girls come out in droves to support the fraternity or organization with which they have a special relationship, often as some form of “little sister.” Whether you’re affiliated with the Greek system or choose to remain independent, Chapel Day is fun for the entire student body. It was really cold, o. my. goodness. it was cold. Now on Friday is Bid Day, that should be a very exciting time for all of the guys that are rushing. I'm also really happy to be back because I get to see a lot of snow. If you like the snow you should really consider Georgetown, we get a good bit of snow here. I have come to the realization that I will never take 18 hrs again after this semester, because it's hard to balance being involved in so much and having a very full course load. Today was Founders Day Convocation, the president of Wake Forest University came to campus and spoke, that wasn't to bad. Now that girls recruitment is over I can see more of my friends because you're basically busy everyday if you are involved in that.

Thats all I have for now, time for homework!
